Muftī Abrār Ḥabīb

Teacher & Scholar

Muftī Abrar Habib began his journey in Islamic scholarship in New York City, completing his foundational ʿĀlim studies at Darul Uloom New York and advancing at DarusSalam Seminary in Lombard, Illinois, where he graduated in 2019 from the rigorous seven-year ʿĀlim program with ijāzah in the six canonical books of ḥadīth.

He pursued specialization in Iftāʾ (the issuing of Islamic legal responsa) at Darul Iftaa Mahmudiyyah in South Africa under the guidance of Muftī Ebrahim Desai and Muftī Husain Kadodia, earning ijāzah in Iftāʾ and being formally conferred the title of Muftī in 2021.

Muftī Abrar continued advanced studies at the Islamic University of Madinah in the sciences of ḥadīth, followed by specialization in tafsīr, Arabic literature, naḥw (syntax), and balāghah (rhetoric) in Egypt, studying directly under scholars of al-Azhar University and Cairo University. He also holds ijāzah in the ʿAsharah Qirāʾāt, the ten canonical recitations of the Qurʾān.

Muftī Abrar has diligently collected ijāzahs in various fiqh, naḥw, and ḥadīth books, reflecting his deep reverence for the scholarly tradition. After more than a decade of study abroad, he returned to the United States and was welcomed into the American Fiqh Academy.

In 2022, Muftī Abrar co-founded Ihya Foundation in Dallas, Texas, a full-time seven-year ʿĀlimiyyah program, where he currently serves as Dean of Academics and instructor, shaping the institution’s academic vision and upholding the legacy of traditional Islamic scholarship.

Maulānā Yasar Hayat Khan

Teacher & Scholar

Maulānā Yasar Hayat Khan is a native of Pakistan with roots in Paterson, New Jersey. From his early years, he demonstrated both academic excellence and leadership, serving as President of his high school Class of 2013, President of the Future Business Leaders of America, and President of the National Honor Society. By the age of twenty-one, he had earned a dual Master’s degree and received multiple scholarships from esteemed institutions.

Despite a promising secular trajectory, Maulānā Yasar dedicated himself to Islamic studies, completing his ʿĀlim program at Darus-Salam Seminary in Chicago, where he studied the six major books of ḥadīth under renowned scholars.

In 2019, he joined Jamia Falah-id-Darain/ICC as a teacher and Dean of Student Affairs, later serving as Youth Director and contributing to the Islamic Council of Dayton. After two years, he traveled to Turkey to specialize in Sīrah an-Nabawiyyah and Islamic history. Upon returning, he resumed teaching and community service, advancing his studies at Chicago Theology Seminary under esteemed professors. He is also pursuing a Master’s in Education and engages in literary endeavors for the benefit of future generations.

In 2022, Maulānā Yasar co-founded Ihya Foundation in Dallas, Texas, where he continues to be the principle, teach and serve the community alongside.

Muftī Tazim Ahmed Khan

Teacher & Scholar

Muftī Tazim Ahmed Khan was born in Bangladesh, where he began his journey of Islamic learning with the memorization of the Qurʾān. In his early teens, he migrated to the United States and enrolled at Darul Uloom New York, where he completed his ḥifẓ.

He thereafter continued his studies at the same institution by enrolling in the ʿĀlim program, which he successfully completed in 2019. Motivated by a deep commitment to Islamic scholarship, Muftī Tazim pursued advanced specialization in Iftāʾ (the issuing of Islamic legal responsa) through a rigorous two-year program at Darul Uloom New York. He completed this course of study in 2021 and was formally conferred the title of Muftī.

Following the completion of his studies in 2021, Muftī Tazim has devoted himself to serving the Muslim community, offering religious guidance and instruction in and around Sterling Heights, Michigan. In recognition of his scholarly training and contributions to Islamic jurisprudence, he was welcomed into the American Fiqh Academy.
